What is H—fen?
Hyfen is a new platform created by Foreigner, offering flexible, perpetually hybrid 7-day creative retreats designed for friends and like-minded individuals. Each week has a unique theme, providing a curated space for inspiration, relaxation, and creative expression.

What are the dates and themes for Hyfen?
H—fen will run from January 13 to February 23, 2025, during the exciting Carnival ramp-up season in Trinidad (but not during Carnival itself). Each week has a different theme:
Week 1 (Jan 13 - 20): Outdoor & Wellness
Week 2 (Jan 20 - 27): Art & Design
Week 3 (Jan 27 - Feb 3): Photography & Filmmaking
Week 4 (Feb 3 - 10): Outdoor & Wellness II
Week 5 (Feb 10 - 17): Music & Experience Design
Week 6 (Feb 17 - 22): Food & Culinary Arts

How much does it cost to attend?
The total fee for H—fen is $1,299, which includes both flight and accommodations. The initial deposit ranges from $399 to $499, depending on your departure city. Flights will be booked with either United or JetBlue, or you may choose to book your own flight if preferred.
If you’d like to share a room (with either two twin beds or a full/queen bed), the cost can be reduced. Room-sharing arrangements will be made based on request and availability.

What’s included in the price?
The $1,299 fee covers:
Round-trip flight to Trinidad via United or JetBlue (you are also welcome to book your own flight).
Accommodation at Vallée Cachée, a premier vacation rental with a pool, rooftop, and workspaces.
Please note that food, local transportation, and activities during the retreat are the guest's responsibility.

How do I sign up?
To sign up, fill out our lead generation form (link provided upon request). This form helps us assess your fit with the retreat and theme weeks, covering topics like your goals for the retreat, connection to Foreigner (Adam Cooper), and connection to the Caribbean or Trinidad.

Can I choose which week(s) to attend?
Yes, you can choose the week(s) that interest you based on the themes. Indicate your preferred dates and theme week in your application.

Where will I be staying?
Participants will stay at Vallée Cachée, a premier vacation rental in Trinidad featuring comfortable accommodations, a pool, rooftop, workspaces, and shared common areas.

How flexible is the itinerary?
H—fen offers a flexible itinerary. Participation in scheduled activities is optional, allowing you to join what aligns with your interests or take time for independent work or relaxation.

What’s the policy on food and meals?
Food is not included in the retreat fee. However, there are ample food options throughout the city as well as grocery stores nearby where you can stock up for the full kitchen available at Vallée Cachée.

Is there a workspace and internet access?
Yes, Vallée Cachée is equipped with workspaces and business class wifi, making it suitable for those who may want to work remotely during their stay.

What should I bring?
Pack for the Trinidadian climate, bringing comfortable clothing, swimwear, sunscreen, and any personal items. We’ll provide a more detailed packing list closer to your stay.

How does transportation work?
Your round-trip flight to Trinidad is included in the fee. However, you’re welcome to book your own flight if preferred. While Adam/Foreigner team will have a car, transportation is the guest’s responsibility on a case-by-case basis, and we will provide options.

Are there health or safety protocols?
Hyfen follows local health guidelines. We recommend travel insurance, and certain vaccinations may be suggested for travel to Trinidad. We’ll provide more details upon booking.
